The preshool has been in operation since 2005 and teaches children not only in Hawane but also the neighbouring villages. The school has had as many as 97 children attending, aging from 3-6 years old.

Initially, we believed in the need to help facilitate the preschool by empowering a head teacher to run a school of their own. We would provide the facilty and teachers to help the head teacher.The head teacher would lead the school as their own venture. However, as time has passed, we have found that the school serves a very disadavanatged community who could not afford to pay to go to school to cover the costs of the school. Therfore, we have determined to sponsor orphans to attend the school and develop the school as a day care centre, preschool and learning centre.

The head teacher's name is Patricia. The vision of the school is to provide the children with a comprehensive education in preparation for government school. This involves learning English, Siswati, and mathematics. Patricia runs it as a a small business while also sponsoring orphans needing places in school.

Teen Challange Swaziland was able to offer Patricia even greater support when Elim Church sent across to us a wonderful worker in Liz, for a three year term, to work closely with the children in the preschool. The preschool is no longer a business, it is now a ministry and an opportunity to reach out into the community to be a help.
